1. Our approach
FOCUS is operated by EE Conf Limited. We take a privacy-preserving approach to cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage). We use the smallest set that keeps the site working and secure, and we do not load non-essential or advertising cookies by default. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to advertisers.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and visits, for example that you are signed in. Similar technologies like local storage work in a comparable way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
3. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are always on because the site cannot work properly without them. They are used to:
- keep you signed in and maintain your session;
- keep the site and your submissions secure, including our anti-bot protection; and
- remember basic preferences, such as your theme.
Analytics cookies (off by default). Where enabled, we use privacy-preserving, first-party analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are only set with your consent and are not shared with third-party advertising networks. We do not use analytics that build cross-site advertising profiles of you.
4. Your choices
Because we default anything non-essential to off, you do not need to do anything to avoid advertising cookies: there are none. You can still control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Where we offer an analytics choice, you can change it at any time.
5. Changes and contact
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. For related detail on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy. Any questions? Email [email protected].
